What is Reiki?
In the Reiki treatment, the user only serves as a channel for the transmission of Reiki to the patient (client). According to the theory of Reiki, every form of illness arises from energetic blockages and energy deficits. The universal life energy cannot flow unhindered.

Function, effect & goals
In Reiki, a distinction is made between the short treatment for acute health disorders and full body treatments. They are usually carried out in the case of severe chronic illnesses and very stressful complaints.
Short treatments each last up to 30 minutes. In the case of full treatments, the client must expect a treatment duration of up to one and a half hours. He is in a relaxed position on a mat on the floor. He is clothed because the universal energy can of course also penetrate his body through clothing. The Reiki practitioner establishes the energetic state of his chakras (energy centers) by laying hands on his forehead for 15 minutes. Then he puts his hand on the other chakras and thus transfers the energy to them. Alternatively, the Reiki practitioner can hold his hand a few centimeters above the body. Then the client lies down on the front so that the back of the body can be treated energetically.
From the individual chakras, the strengthening and healing universal energy is passed on to other parts of the body. According to Mikao Usui, the discoverer of Reiki, the Reiki user can even gently stroke, tap and massage the client's body. The practitioner decides on this according to the needs of the sick person. The Reiki treatment works on all subtle levels. The harmonization of the mental and emotional state promotes the physical healing process. However, the client should expect the first worsening effect to occur. In the case of acute disorders, it is therefore advisable to carry out the treatment for 4 days in a row so that healing occurs.
The initial aggravation is just evidence that the treatment is effective and the body is ready to respond. In the case of severe psychological stress, there may be an initial emotional surge. It also shows that the energy supplied causes changes. It is generally active 5 to 7 days after treatment. Several applications are necessary for chronic and severe complaints. On the spiritual and spiritual level, the universal life energy has the following effects: reducing stress and fears, promoting relaxation, increasing concentration and the ability to learn, harmonizing and intensifying emotional life, letting go of negative and hindering thought structures, promoting inner strength and serenity, strengthening creativity, mental Flexibility, intuition, promotion of cognitive processes (self-knowledge, recognition of one's own life task), development of the soul and spiritual potential, possibly promotion of spiritual abilities.
Depressive moods and eating disorders are also positively influenced by Reiki. The treatment should not be used in the presence of neuroses and psychoses. On a physical level, Reiki causes a permanent strengthening of the immune system and can thus bring about healing success in diseases such as neurodermatitis, allergies, asthma, rheumatism and osteoarthritis. Spontaneous healing of cancer has also been observed. It has anti-inflammatory effects, soothes pain and heals wounds, strengthens the nerves and balances the hormonal imbalance of the thyroid hormones.
