Pimples on the face or generally impure skin disturb the external appearance of a person enormously. Young people in particular are often plagued by acne and pimples. With a few home remedies and a little discipline in their application, almost anyone can achieve pure skin.
What helps against pimples and acne?
Chamomile or tea tree oil are natural home remedies for controlling pimples. In the case of very severe acne, the dermatologist should first clarify whether there are medical causes for the pimples that need to be fought specifically.
It should also be noted that every skin has its own needs that must be taken into account. Dry skin must be regularly cared for with moisturizing lotions or creams so that self-protection can effectively prevent the penetration of bacteria.
With oily skin, a peeling can help, with which the openings of the sebum glands are freed from dead skin and dried sebum. This allows new sebum to drain off better and blackheads that can become infected do not even form. If pimples keep appearing despite good care, targeted treatment of the facial skin makes sense.
A steam bath with chamomile opens the pores and disinfects the skin. For this purpose, a strong chamomile tea is poured and placed in an open pot. The rising steam should act on the face for about ten minutes. The best way to do this is to hold your head over the pot and cover it with a towel. This steam bath is followed by the usual care that is appropriate for the skin type.
Care should be taken to ensure that the compositions are as natural as possible for care products. Other cleaning agents such as shampoo and shower gel should also be tailored to the sensitivity of the facial skin. A baby shampoo without perfuming or preservative additives is often better tolerated than other products.
In the case of inflammatory pimples, treatment with your own urine can also be helpful. For this purpose, the first urine is collected in the morning and carefully applied to the face with a cotton pad. The urea present in the urine has a positive effect on the complexion, which is why this substance is also present in most ointments for pimples. After a longer exposure time, the facial cleansing appropriate to the skin type can be carried out.
Quick help
The advice given so far helps slowly but permanently. Depending on how severe the problem was, the improvement can be observed after a few days or only after a few weeks. But you don't always have the opportunity to wait that long for improvement.
In these situations it is important not to push the pimple. In this way, the impurities are often only pushed deeper into the skin, where they lead to inflammation. In the case of blackheads and similar impurities, it is better to avoid quick help. The areas can usually be covered very well with a high-quality powder or make-up so that there is no longer any visual impairment. So that the skin is not stressed too much by the cover, careful cleaning of the skin appropriate to the skin type should be ensured in the evening. An additional peeling makes it easier to remove unsightly sebum from the pores.
Alternative remedies
Raised pimples that cannot be concealed with make-up can be dabbed with a drop of tea tree oil. This has an antibacterial effect and dries out the pimple. It won't be enough to make the pimple go away completely.
However, a high-quality concealer is sufficient afterwards to show a clear complexion. A fresh cotton swab is best used to apply tea tree oil and concealer. This can prevent other bacteria from worsening the inflammation of the pimple.
A zinc ointment, which is applied directly to the affected area, also helps with acutely inflamed pimples. The zinc works directly against the inflammation and at the same time, moisture is removed from the pimple. However, extensive application of this ointment is not recommended.
Toothpaste should not be used if possible. Although this can successfully dry out a single pimple, it often results in an even worse complexion.
